Deze week hoorde ik van de spreker/schrijver/coach Alan Seale dat hij, elke keer voor hij het podium betreedt, tegen zichzelf zegt: “Just love them”. Sinds ik dat hoorde ben ik dat ook weer nadrukkelijker aan het doen, dan ik gewoon al doe. Elke keer als ik een oordeel naar anderen of mezelf voel opkomen: “Just love them”. “Just love me”. Het doet me denken aan één van de mooiste liederen van Jacques Brel: ‘Quand on n’a que l’amour’. Dat is echt een lied, om keihard mee te zingen. Daarom hier de franse tekst en een zeer vrije Engelse vertaling.
